It's wintertime, and I love baking goodies this time of the year. This year, I baked cookies, cookies, and more cookies!😀 Sharing another cookie recipe.
Prep time: 1hour and 15 mins
Cooking time: 12 mins
Serving: 24 cookies
Ingredients:
1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg beaten
1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
1 tablespoon milk
Powdered sugar for rolling out the dough
For Icing :
1 cup powder sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons corn syrup
2 teaspoons of milk
Food colors you like
Methods:
Take butter and sugar in a large bowl of an electric stand mixer and beat until light in color.
Add vanilla and milk and beat to combine.
Gradually add flour, and beat until mixture pulls away from the side of the bowl.
Divide the dough in half, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F
After an hour, take out the dough.
Sprinkle powdered sugar on a clean surface and roll out dough to 1/4-inch thick.
Put enough powder sugar underneath, and make sure it is not sticking.
Cut out a shape using a medium to the large desired shape cookie cutter.
Place the cookies at least 1/2-inch apart on a parchment-lined baking sheet. They do not spread much.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are just beginning to turn brown around the edges.
Take out the cookies and let them cool completely.
Mix the icing ingredients in a bowl and add colors you
like and decorate the cookies.
