This is my family favorite, especially my son and husband love it. That's why often I had to make this at home :). Molten chocolate cake is a popular dessert that combines the characteristics of a chocolate cake and a soufflé. The name says it all and is obtained from the liquid chocolate in the center, like lava. I add more chocolates in the center to make it more fun 😛.
PREP TIME: 20 MINUTES COOK TIME: 10 MINUTES SERVINGS: 5
Ingredients:
6-ounce semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 eggs
4 tbsp sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 stick unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 ounce more chocolate chips for the center
Methods:
Grease or butter five ramekins or any cupcake molds and dust with powder sugar.
Take the chocolate, and the butter in a bowl, put it on top of boiling water over a double boiler, and melt until both melt and mix.
Meanwhile, in a stand mixer or with a hand mixer or with a whisk, beat the eggs with sugar until the mixer turns thick and pale yellow.
Add the vanilla extract and flour and mix well.
Gradually add the melted chocolate and butter mix and stir constantly.
Pour batter into the prepared molds.
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Add 8 to 10 mini chocolate chips in the center of each cup, and with a spoon, press them inside 👇.
Bake them for 10 minutes until the edges are firm and the center is still soft.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 mins. Run a knife around the edge of the mold and turn it over onto a plate. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top, and serve immediately with fresh fruits.
