Simple yet delicious steak recipe. Easy to cook without compromising the taste.
Ingredients:
2 pieces 8-ounce Filet mignon
1/2 stick unsalted butter (soft room temperature)
2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
3 tablespoons chopped parsley
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
8-ounce small button mushrooms (cleaned)
3 tablespoons oil
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Methods:
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Combine the butter, garlic 2 tablespoons parsley, lemon juice, and salt and pepper in a small bowl and set aside.
Toss the mushrooms with 1 tablespoon oil in a medium bowl and season with salt and pepper. Transfer it to an ovenproof pan and spread them in a single layer and roast in the oven until golden brown and soft in about 20 mins.
Heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of oil in a nonstick pan over medium heat until it begins to shimmer. Generously season the beef filet with salt and pepper.
Place the steak in the pan and cook until crust forms in about 4 to 5 mins. Turn the steaks over lower the heat slightly and continue cooking again for 4 more mins until crusty.
Place the steaks on a baking sheet and roast them into a 425-degrees oven to roast medium-rare doneness in 10 mins.
After 20 mins remove the cooked mushrooms baking pan from the oven and the garlic parsley butter on the mushrooms and return the pan into the oven until the butter has melted and coated the mushrooms in about 5 mins.
Remove the meat from the oven and cover it with a foil loosely and let rest for 10 mins.
Transfer the filet of Migon onto a serving plate and spoon all the buttery mushrooms over and around the steaks and serve warm.
