MACHA GREEN TEA WAFFLES!

Who does not want crispy waffles at the morning breakfast table? People usually like Waffles in both ways, sweet or savory. I usually choose the sweet route. My favorite is waffles with some fruit and REAL maple syrup or honey. My husband loves matcha green tea, so I thought of making green tea waffles. And the waffles came out just awesome. So thought of sharing the recipe.

This recipe is straightforward, and the payoff is great! You can make these ahead of time and heat them in the morning in the toaster oven or in the air fryer just before your breakfast.

PREP TIME: 15 mins Cook TIME: 50 to 60 MINUTES SERVINGS: 10

Ingredients::

2 cup all-purpose flour

2 eggs

1 and 1/2 cup evaporated milk or regular whole Milk

1/2 cup green tea (1/2 cup water and two green tea bags)

1 tablespoon matcha green tea powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 cup melted butter (1 stick )

4 tablespoons honey

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

First, take half a cup of hot water, dip 2 green tea bags, and make half a cup of green tea.

Mix that matcha green tea powder in that green tea and keep it aside.

In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, evaporated milk, and eggs and mix. Slowly combine the other ingredients - salt, baking powder, baking soda, melted butter, honey, vanilla extract, and the green tea matcha powder mixer, then whisk to combine. Gently mix everything and make a smooth batter.

Heat the waffle griddle on high heat and lightly grease the griddle with butter.

Then pour 1/2 cup of batter in each compartment and cook for 5 mins or until the waffles are cooked and light brown.

Serve the warm waffle with honey or maple syrup or with some chicken wings.
