POMEGRANATE, VANILLA CHIA SEED PUDDING, AND BASIL SEED FALOODA!

This is a cold dessert made with 4 basic layers vermicelli, chia seed pudding, basil seeds, and ice cream. These various textures, colors, and flavors of Falooda create an interesting taste experience in our mouth, where every bite is different and brings a new flavor. This is an awesome and easy dessert recipe to make with less cooking but needs more prepping. When all the prep work is done, it will take 5 mins maximum to assemble this beautiful dessert. Chia seeds and basil seeds are really healthy for our bodies. They are packed with nutritious food values. So at least eating this dessert becomes guilt-free for me.



INGREDIENTS:



2 cups Pomegranate Jello (1 packet store-bought)

1 and 1/2 cup Evaporated Milk (Canned)

1 and 1/2 cup Cooked vermicelli (1 cup dry )

4 tablespoons Chia seeds (soaked)

1 cup milk

1 tablespoon of honey

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

2 tablespoons basil seeds ( Soaked )

1/2 cup of Chopped cashew nuts

1/2 cup of Chopped Pistachio nuts

1/2 cup Grenadine syrup or any syrup(Add 1 cup of water with 1 cup sugar and boil it)

Vanilla Icecream as much required

1 cup Chopped Apples

1/4 cup Pomegranate seeds

5 Raspberries or cherries for garnishing



PREP TIME: 2 hours ASSEMBLY TIME: 10 MINUTES SERVINGS: 5



Methods:


  • First, make the pomegranate jello and let it set in the refrigerator for 2 hours before assembling the dessert in the glass. Follow the store-bought jello packet instructions to make the jello.

  • When the jello sets, in the meantime, prepare the other things.

  • Add the 1 cup of evaporated milk with 1/2 cup of pomegranate syrup or any other syrup. If you do not have pomegranate syrup, just boil 1 cup of water with 1 cup of sugar and make regular syrup. If you want less sweet, add less syrup. Let the milk cool down in the refrigerator.


  • Let's make the chia pudding. Soak the 4 tablespoons of chia seeds in 1 cup of whole milk. Let it sit for 15 mins when it is soaked, add 1/2 cup of evaporated milk to it, and mix well. Add 1 tablespoon of honey and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla and mix well.



  • Soak the 2 tablespoons of basil seeds in the 6 tablespoons of water. Let it sit for 5 to 10 mins.



  • Cook the vermicelli. Boil some water and add the vermicelli. Cook for 2 mins and strain it and keep it aside.




  • Chop 1 apple into small pieces.

  • Chop the nuts and keep them aside.


  • Now assemble the Falooda.

  • Take tall glasses.

  • Add 3 tablespoons of jello to the bottom of the glasses.



Next, add 2 tablespoons of cooked Vemecelli.

Then add 2 tablespoons of evaporated milk and syrup mix.


Now add the 2 tablespoons of soaked basil seeds.


Then add a tablespoon of milk and syrup mix again.

Now add 1/4 cup of chopped fruits.

Next, add 2 tablespoons of Chia pudding.

Now add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and sprinkle some chopped nuts over it.

If you do not want ice cream, add more chopped fruits and chopped nuts, and enjoy it.




Finally, garnish it with raspberry or cherry on top.
